Yes, the beach is approximately 7 minutes stroll away.
In Almyrida, next to the pharmacy and several other shops. There are several ATM's in the village of Almyrida and one in Plaka.
You can hire a car, we can give you details of those we can recommend. Alternatively, we can arrange a taxi transfer for you from our local taxi driver who knows the property well.
There is so much to explore around the area, so we recommend you to. However, it's not vital.
Yes, buses run from Almyrida to Chania and Rethymnon via Kalives. We have an up to date timetable available.
In the village of Almyrida, there are several supermarkets, a green grocer and delicatessen, two bakeries and a butcher's shop. There are also many gift shops and a pharmacy.
Almyrida has a large choice of eateries from snacks and burgers to Italian pizza and pasta, traditional Cretan and Greek tavernas with traditional home cooking. Several have excellent fresh fish. Plaka has three excellent tavernas and a specialist Italian restaurant.
Most of them have vegetarian options and more and more have gluten free options.
